What is Mob-Art?
Mob-Art is a project providing children in Beqaa of both Lebanese and Syrian nationalities with tools of resilience to overcome their traumas through Arts.
Mob-Art consists currently of three caravans providing a place of refuge and play through diverse creative arts; Drama, Music, Dance, Painting, and crafts.
Our goal is to promote cohesion between displaced Syrian families and their Lebanese host community.
What is offered?
Classes are offered in fine arts, drama & dance and music. Each class accommodates up to 12 children, ages between 5 and 17, with three classes per caravan. An estimate of 120-160 students were taught in the first 6 months of the MobArts Project.
Our teaching staff consists of parents that are trained to become arts instructors. The teaching staff also consists of local teachers and volunteers. In addition, we ensure that we have guest instructors (local and internationals) that are specialized in art therapy.
Mob-Art aims to provide the local community with sustainable tools for development.
Our Mob-Art project coordinator Mostafa Baydoun and our Volunteering coordinator Doha Faraj were on OTV this past week to discuss our latest Mob-Art achievements. Watch the interview to learn more about our lovely project in Beqaa.
