As part of our “Back to Nature” Hike series, we are organizing an afternoon hike, but this time with a twist! We will be visiting the Mount Lebanon Dog Shelter where we will be having a walk with the rescued dogs!
Mount Lebanon Dog Shelter is a safe haven for 50+ homeless dogs, puppies, goats and a donkey, and they are need of volunteers to help walk and pet the dogs.
Where? Al Rejmeh Village, Mount Lebanon Dog Shelter
When? Saturday 10th of July
Time? 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM
We will be heading from LOYAC office in Achrafieh at 3:00 PM sharp towards the beautiful Rejmeh Village in Aley. We will start with a 1-hour hike to reach the dog shelter where the owner Mira Btater will brief us about her journey in founding the shelter. At last, we will be walking to dogs, brushing and petting them.

LOYAC organized a 2-hour hike in Al Yaasoub Reserve in Baysour. The hike was followed by two sessions focusing on ‘First Aid’ and ‘Build Your Shelter’ conducted by LOYAC volunteers.
